String Theory is a Virtual Reality yo-yo combat game, where the player takes on the role of a child playing pretend in a secret underground city. The player uses their yo-yo to fend off enemies, explore levels, and solve puzzles all while looking for the ultimate treasure that is rumored to be hiding there.
To get a better feel for the gameplay, here is a short trailer:
- Role: Lead Programmer
- Team Size: 9
- Purpose: Production II course project
- Target Platform: Oculus Rift
I worked on String Theory as part of a team for my Production II game development course at Champlain College over a ten-week time frame. To learn more about the timeline and evolution of the game, check out my blog posts about String Theory.
